You have grown so much this month. I really feel your weight now when I carry you around and while you are big enough to play in your exersaucer now, we still carry you a lot. You are just so squishy and cuddly. Why would we put you down? (Well, we do have to get a few things done without you in tow.)
You are a trooper and dealt with another round of antibiotics to get rid of a cough and pharyngitis. The weather has been so funky this summer. We have a had a few days of warm sunny weather but it has mostly been winter-like gray humid days. It has been hard to rid our house of sickness but we are working on it.
I wish I could say you are sleeping like a champ but at this point you are waking up 3 to 4 times a night and the only thing that is keeping me from falling flat on my face is that your abuela and your brother are here and they allow me to nap with you in the morning. Your abuela makes lunch and your brother entertains Leah. It is glorious. What am I going to do when they are not here?
You are holding yourself up really well and you are almost scooting yourself along the floor. Your grabbing skills are on point as you pull my hair any time it is not in a ponytail.
Leah continues to love you and love you more. She wants to touch you all the time and it is really the main thing that we have to reprimand her for because she does not get the concept of not touching your hands or your face. I will be so happy if we can make it another month without you getting sick again.
You rolled over from your tummy to your back and from your back to your tummy. It is an exciting step but it also means you are that much closer to being on the move and I know that when that happens life will get even more hectic.
Your hair is growing into a mane and it is soft and curly. I love it but I don’t think it helps with sweat, which you produce a lot of when you nurse. I am of the mind to cut it for the summer but I also really want to see how it grows.
I am pretty sure you are going to get your first two teeth soon because you have started to drool like crazy and you have shown an immense interest in putting your fingers and everything else in your mouth.
Thank you for letting daddy and I go out to a New Year’s Eve party. Leaving you is hard since you are exclusively breast feeding but you take a bottle when necessary and your abuela gave you two while we were gone.
We finally got your crib up and we are working on transitioning you from our bed to the crib. You already nap in it but we are working on getting you to sleep in it all night. I am positive it won’t take more than a week to get used to your new bed.
I love you so much my little boy.
Love you to the Sun,
